Baldur's Gate Cheat Codes (PC Version)
Warning: Using cheat codes can take away from the challenge and enjoyment of Baldur's Gate. But, if you're set on it, here's a guide.
Activating Cheats
To activate cheats in Baldur's Gate, follow these steps:
- Locate the file named "Baldur.ini" in your Baldur's Gate installation directory. (Default location: Documents > Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition)
- Open the file with a text editor.
- Add the line `SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1')` under the `[Main]` section (or create a new section if it doesn't exist).
- Save the changes and close the file.
- Launch Baldur's Gate.
**Important:** Entering cheat codes disables achievements for your current game session.
Console Access
Once you've enabled Debug Mode, you can access the console during gameplay by pressing `Ctrl` + `Tab`.
Type the desired cheat code in the console and press `Enter` to activate it.
General Cheat Codes

- CLUAConsole:RaiseCharacterLevel([character_number], [new_level]) - Instantly increases the character in slot [character_number]'s level to [new_level] (replace `[character_number]` with the character's slot number and `[new_level]` with the desired level).
- killall - Kills all enemies in your immediate vicinity.
- giveall - Gives you all available weapons and ammo (though not all special items).
